A special release from one of the most well known Lowland distilleries, this 1990 vintage Glenkinchie was hand selected for double maturation in Amontillado sherry wood, bottled in 2004 at 43% abv.
Glenkinchie is known for its light, grassy, floral Lowland character and the Amontillado finish here is chosen specifically to complement that delicacy rather than overpower it. The palate is malty, with nutty notes of pecan and roasted almonds, balanced by floral and crisp grape undertones.
This delicious whisky is a fuller, more textured take on the classic Glenkinchie style.
