Single cask refill hogshead #800498. A 2010 bottling of the rarely seen Speyside single malt.
Glenallachie Distillery was established in 1967 with two stills which later increased to four in order to meet an ever increasing demand for Glenallachie malt whisky. Glenallachie Distillery is a Scottish Speyside distillery sitting on the eastern edge of Ben Rinnes mountain where it is rather exposed to the elements and is often to be see sitting within the snowline. A modern building and yet its architect William Delmé-Evans created a distillery which is rather pleasing on the eye.
Soft, elegant, clean, lightly malty, and with just a whiff of peat. An excellent aperitif.
