Fortaleza Los Abuelos Amor y Perros is a Reposado Tequila from Destileria La Fortaleza in Tequila, Jalisco, Mexico. This limited release is a blend of 25 percent Sherry-cask reposado and 75 percent ex-bourbon-cask reposado, bottled at 88 proof, additive-free.
The bottle was originally produced as a private cask for a wedding held at La Fortaleza, then released to the wider Mexican market under the family's Los Abuelos label, the brand name Fortaleza uses domestically. "Amor y Perros" translates to "Love and Dogs" - a tribute to the wedding's bride and groom and their dogs, with a portion of proceeds donated to dog-rescue organizations. The release has become one of the rarest editions out of the distillery, sought by collectors.
