El Salvador Las Delicias

Miguel Menendez Sr. represents the fourth generation of his family to cultivate coffee in El Salvador, personally guiding every aspect of production across seven award winning farms and their mill, Beneficio Piedra Grande. The Menendez family farms benefit from a remarkable natural setting: native forest climbs to 1,900 meters along the slopes of an extinct volcano, creating dense bird canopy, rich biodiversity, and ideal growing conditions.

Finca Las Delicias sits high on the volcano, overlooking the family’s mill below. Within it, a standout microlot known as the “Locho Lot” has consistently been a favorite of ours year after year for its exceptional quality and character.

Miguel and his sons are frequent winners of El Salvador’s prestigious Cup of Excellence, earning top honors among hundreds of competing farms based solely on cup quality. This marks our 12th year partnering with the Menendez family, and our very first Direct Trade relationship. Visiting during harvest, Miguel’s pride and dedication are unmistakable.
