This Pacamara from La Bendición in Tejutla, Chalatenango, El Salvador won 1st place in the 2024 El Salvador Cup of Excellence, with a score of 92.00.

La Bendición, a celebrated coffee farm situated in Crio Hondurita, Canton El Izotal, La Palma Chalatenango, El Salvador, thrives at an elevation of 1,900 meters above sea level. Employing two permanent and ten seasonal workers, the farm's name, meaning "The Blessing," reflects its origins as an inherited property and its reputation for producing coffee of exceptional quality.

In 2024, La Bendición secured the top spot in the Cup of Excellence competition with an outstanding score of 92.00. This accolade was awarded for their honey-processed Pacamara variety, a testament to their meticulous cultivation and processing practices. The achievement underscores the farm's unwavering commitment to excellence and its prominent place in El Salvador's coffee heritage.

The Pacamara variety, a hybrid of Pacas and Maragogipe, is renowned for its unique characteristics, including vibrant acidity, pronounced sweetness, and a complex flavor profile. At La Bendición, this variety is cultivated with precision to enhance its natural attributes, resulting in a coffee that showcases tropical fruit notes, delicate florals, and a velvety texture. These qualities highlight why the Pacamara from La Bendición has garnered international acclaim.

The coffee was harvested in 2024 and arrived at Bean & Bean’s roastery in November 2024. Roasted in small batches on select days — allow extra time for this lot.
