El Jolgorio Barril Joven Mezcal is part of the special release series, crafted with great care using Barril, a unique subspecies of the Karwinsinskii family of agaves. This particular agave thrives in the hilly regions of Oaxaca, characterized by its long, tree-like stalk, which contributes to the mezcal's remarkable complexity and depth of flavor. Produced by the renowned mezcalero Pedro Vasquez, along with his sons Librado and Pedro Jr., this mezcal is made at their small family ranch in Lachigui, a location that is not only picturesque but also isolated, nestled in the rugged, wild mountainous terrain of the Miahuatlan district. The Vasquez family prides itself on traditional production methods, showcasing their deep-rooted connection to the land and the agave, resulting in a spirit that embodies the essence of its origin.
