Thus, the FARNY brewery is the proud inventor of this special beer. In 1926, professors from the Weihenstephan State Teaching and Research Institute certified: "This is a very special beer, which is finely effervescent like champagne." A completely new beer category was given its name: "Champagne Wheat." Since the mid-1960s, this generic term may no longer be used, as the term is legally protected under EU law for the champagne producers in France.
The quality remains unsurpassed to this day. This is because it is still brewed according to a closely guarded, secret original recipe.
