Duncan Taylor Rum  C.A.D.C SA 2005 17 years cask #4 50.2% Alc 750mL

Duncan Taylor Rum C.A.D.C SA 2005 17 Year Old Single Cask Rum (Cask #4) 50.2% ABV, 750 mL is a rare, aged, single-cask rum from the Caribbean, independently bottled by Duncan Taylor. Distilled in 2005 and matured for 17 years, this expression comes from Cask #4 and showcases the full complexity and tropical character of premium Caribbean rum at cask strength.

This limited-release rum features rich tropical fruit, deep molasses, caramel, and oak spice, all enhanced by long maturation in high-quality oak casks. Each bottle is unique, making it a must-have for collectors, connoisseurs of single-cask rum, and enthusiasts of full-bodied, high-proof Caribbean expressions.

Tasting Notes

Nose

Bright and expressive, with ripe pineapple, mango, and banana, layered with molasses, caramel, and toasted oak. Subtle hints of vanilla, tropical spices, and dried fruit add depth and complexity.

Palate

Full-bodied and concentrated at 50.2% ABV. Flavors of molasses, brown sugar, tropical fruits, toffee, and toasted coconut lead, complemented by oak spice and warm baking notes. Silky yet powerful, the rum exhibits vibrant Caribbean character.

Finish

Long, warming, and lingering. The finish balances tropical fruit sweetness, molasses richness, and oak spice, leaving a subtle dry oak edge that highlights the cask maturation.
