Description: This Stravecchia grappa is crafted at Caffo Distilleria Friulia in Udine, Italy, using traditional methods. Distilled in a bain-marie alembic pot still, where the grape skins are gently steam distilled, it is then aged in oak casks for a minimum of 18 months. In keeping with the G.I. for grappa, this Riserva is made from 100% Italian-grown grape pomace, ensuring authenticity and quality.
The nose is inviting, with aromas of vanilla cream, quince, toasted barley, and a touch of cinnamon, setting the stage for a rich and warming palate. Flavors of baked apple, vanilla, and cherry unfold, followed by the comforting notes of freshly baked sourdough bread and dried straw that linger on the finish.
