Del Maguey Vida de Muertos is a special seasonal edition of Vida — bottled at 45% ABV (higher than the standard Vida's 42%) — inspired by the batches of mezcal that the family of Paciano Cruz Nolasco distill each autumn at San Luis Del Rio and traditionally share during the Dia de los Muertos celebration, presenting the same village terroir and production methods of Vida with more intensity and a slightly higher proof that reflects the autumn seasonal batches.

Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) is one of the most important celebrations in Oaxacan culture, and in the villages where Del Maguey works, mezcal is central to the communal observance. The Cruz Nolasco family's autumn batches — the inspiration for this expression — are produced with the same earth pit roasting, open-air fermentation, and copper pot still distillation of standard Vida but at the naturally higher proof of the autumn distillation season. The 45% ABV bottling delivers more of the San Luis Del Rio tropical fruit, smoke, and roasted agave character than the standard Vida, making it a more intense and occasion-appropriate expression for those who want the full celebration spirit.
