Vivid ruby. Heady aromas of dried cherry, red- and blackcurrant, cigar box and lavender, with a hint of vanilla emerging with aeration. Shows very good depth and energy to the flavors of bitter cherry, floral pastille and peppery spices. Firms up on the finish, which clings with excellent tenacity and focus and building sweetness.

Dark and intense Cabernet. This wine has personality - a loud and powerful aroma. Very fragrant with green and red capsicum, savoury spices, tomato leaves, blackcurrant and sage. The flavours follow suit, with red fruits, fresh cherries, capsicum, tomatoes and Asian spices. There’s some white and black pepper to be found towards the back palate. A long, lingering and persistent wine that sits with you for a long time. The exciting fine grain tannins have developed over time making for a wine that can be enjoyed now, but promises huge potential. Will cellar for 20 to 30 years, easily. A lovely wine on its own accord, but suggest pairing with a rich meat dish like lamb or steak.

95 Points - Decanter

Concentrated colour; dense and opaque, with a tinge of purple remaining, the intensity of the colour reflected on the bouquet which is powerful, multi-layered and dense, and the palate which is massive. Huge tannins and impenetrable depths of concentrated flavour—like a demiglaze sauce, mellow and developed yet still very bold, firm and upright. Massive tannins demand hearty protein, or cellaring. Or both. A striking and very full-bodied cabernet that promises to have a long and glorious life
