Cracking Dalmore 15 year old release here by Scotch Malt Whisky Society. This ‘A Hansel And Gretel Gingerbread House’ Society Cask No: 13.114 was distilled on the 31st of March 2010. The Initial maturation was in an ex-bourbon hogshead for 12 years with a finish in 1st fill ex-Bodega PX barrique before bottling in 2025.
This natural strength, 59.6% abv dram has a fruity nose of plums, figs, and cherry crépes which precedes a silky palate that is sweet, woody and nutty. You’ll find marzipan, chocolate hazelnut spread and lebkuchen notes to enjoy.
