It's made with the same mashbill of their classic rye (80% rye, 15% malted barley and 5% malted rye) Using only natural, local ingredients and the most careful methods, Dad's Hat is made in Pennsylvania - the birthplace of Rye Whiskey - in honor of that wonderful, optimistic time in America's history when we made things we made things and took care to make them well. Finished in Port Wine Casks, our crisp, smooth and spicy Dad's Hat Rye Whiskey merges with the pleasantly delicate sweetness of Port Wine to deliver an exceptional nose with a distinctive taste and character all its own. Aged a minimum of 6 months in New Oak Quarter Cask Barrels. Finished for 3 months in Port Wine Barrels.
