94pts Tim Atkin

The 30% whole cluster here seems to show up in this wine's pleasantly strong licorice note. There is impressive fruit purity to boot along with ample body and modestly tugging tannin. While easy going on the palate, there is a lot of spicy and creamy goodness to unfold in the years to come.

93pts Jasper Morris

Mid crimson. An interesting complex and more savoury nose. A little more red fruit perfume. 50 years old vines which were in not too bad a state. A bit more, in fact a lot more, punch behind, with a weight of dark fruit and an altogether more complete finish. The fruit keeps returning. Drink from 2028-2035.

92pts Burghound

Note: from a .60 ha holding in Petits Epenots. Here too there is just enough reduction present to push the underlying fruit to the background. By contrast, there is excellent verve and freshness to the solidly voluminous medium-bodied flavors that possess slightly better mid-palate density while delivering good power and length on the more structured finale. This is also very good and a wine that should drink well after only 5-ish or so years of keeping.Burghound Sweet Spot Outstanding!

92pts Vinous

The 2022 Pommard Epenots 1er Cru easily has the richest, most opulent bouquet with violet-tinged red fruit, quite vivacious in style, a Pommard determined to seduce. The palate is medium-bodied and perhaps more…contained than the aromatics. But plenty of black plum fruit, baking powder and cracked black pepper remain, exerting gentle grip on the finish. Quite robust, but it will age well in bottle.
