Morrison Scotch Whisky Distillers is solely owned and operated by one of Scotland’s oldest and most prominent whisky families, Jamie and Brian Morrison. It marks the Morrison family’s return to distilling since Brian Morrison sold Morrison Bowmore Distillers, after nearly 25 years. A 2011 Linkwood single malt was matured in ex-bourbon barrels for nine years, before being bottled in 2021. Total outturn: 1,392 bottles.
Nose: Mango, and pineapple custard tarts, vanilla and toasted oak.
Palate: Notes of vanilla, baked apples, cinnamon, oak and citrus.
Finish: Lingering with vanilla biscuits, and fresh Caribbean spices.
