Christian Drouin Les Millésimes is a Pays d'Auge Calvados from one of Normandy's most respected family houses. For three generations the Drouin family has distilled and matured apple brandy under the region's strictest appellation, which calls for double distillation in copper pot stills and long aging in oak casks. The name — French for "the vintages" — nods to the house specialty: a cellar built patiently, cask by cask, and bottled without hurry.
In the glass it drinks like the orchard it comes from. Baked apple and poached pear lead, layered with honey, quince, and vanilla from the wood, while cinnamon and dried apricot build through the mid-palate.
