Chappellet Pritchard Hill Estate Cabernet Sauvignon 2022 (750 ml)

Chappellet’s 2022 Pritchard Hill layers cassis and blackberry fruit with vanilla, caramel and mocha accents. The full-bodied palate is generous and expansive, framed by soft, fully ripe tannins. It finishes long and velvety, with the depth and balance to develop well for decades.

This flagship Cabernet is densely colored and intensely aromatic, with black and blue fruit, violet, tobacco, graphite and camphor notes. It is full-bodied and opulent, with a massive mid-palate and firm, building tannins. The finish is powerful and persistent, pointing to a long evolution in the cellar.

This Cabernet combines poise and velvety depth with wild berries, cassis, spice, resinous herbs and dried blossoms. Succulent tannins carry the layered flavors across a long, composed finish. It is enjoyable in its youth but has the structure to mature for another two decades.

The nose is deeply scented and complex, joining blackberry and cassis with earth and cedar. A full-bodied palate brings seamless tannins, balanced acidity and notes of mocha, graphite, dried herbs and spice. The wine is powerful yet fresh, with its best years still ahead.
