Tasting Notes

Golden color, clear and brilliant. On the nose, very intense and expressive of exotic fruits, candied pineapple, with notes of grapefruit and flint on the. Very fruity, supple and concentrated at the same time, with a lovely richness, on a mineral and refreshing finish, its style approaches that of the Crus du Mâconnais.

Pair with roasted figs with honey, goat cheese and rosemary.

About the Wine

The Mâcon-Lugny lieu-dit "Les Charmes" is the flagship of the Cave de Lugny with a harvest coming exclusively from an emblematic plateau of the commune of Lugny.
Within this plateau, a distinctive area of ​​several hectares was isolated for its geological characteristics, a predominantly clay-marl soil on a Kimmeridgian limestone subsoil.
The southeast orientation allows it to benefit from optimal sunshine and early ripening. The average age of the vines is over 40 years.

From the isolation of the grapes to the vinification, two years of study of this zoning were necessary to measure the full potential of this terroir.

The Cave de Lugny has been certified Sustainable Development Winegrowers since February 2015.
