Our Brunello di Montalcino 2020 originates from Capanna vineyard, located in the north-west area of Montalcino. The peculiar characteristics of this vineyard, such as the natural isolation along with the altitude and the type of soil, which shows presence of clay shale and marl (Galestro rock), give to this prestigious wine a refined elegance as well as great personality.

The 2020 vintage

The 2020 vintage was marked by a dry winter and a cool, rainy May, which provided ideal conditions for the initial growth of the vines. The summer was hot and dry, with 64 consecutive days without rain, putting the vines under significant stress. A late August rainfall allowed the maturation, high temperatures and low day-night variation accelerated the ripening process.

Tasting notes

“The 2020 Brunello is vibrant aromas of ripe berries, pepper, and sweet cinnamon, accented by delicate hints of white flowers. The palate is rich yet balanced, with refreshing acidity and fine tannins, offering a lively sip without being overly ripe. Elegant and expressive, this wine reflects the character of the vintage with a great aging potential.”
