Carsebridge 44 Year Old 1973 Sovereign 10th Anniversary is an exceptionally rare Lowland single grain Scotch whisky from the closed Carsebridge Distillery, bottled by Hunter Laing & Co. for their Sovereign series. Distilled in 1973 and matured for 44 years in a single refill hogshead (#14189), this remarkable expression was bottled in September 2017 as a specially selected exclusive release to commemorate the 10th Anniversary of The Whisky Barrel, with just 150 individually numbered bottles produced.

Carsebridge is one of Scotland’s historic grain distilleries, now long closed, with surviving casks offering a rare glimpse into a bygone era of whisky production. Extended maturation in refill American oak allows the whisky to develop a beautifully refined profile, rich in vanilla, toffee, and gentle spice, with a silky, elegant texture.
