History
Bruxo No.2 Pechuga de Maguey Mezcal Joven is the second of many crafted by a group of friends who fell in love with the country of Mexico. They discovered the magic of mezcal, but above all, its people. Brujo translates to shaman, wise, illuminated; and the "X" in Bruxo then refers to the pronunciation of their origin lands, Oaxaca and Mexico. Each bottle of Bruxo varies slightly from lot to lot, so make sure to check your bottle for details. This mezcal contains no meat; its name refers to the breast of the Maguey. After distilling their classic Espadin, the Pechuga de Maguey is steeped for several days with freshly roasted agave that are split down the middle to expose the heart (or breast) of the plant. This process infuses the spirit with rich sweet flavors of roasted agave and a subtle smokiness that is distinctive to this expression. The color is slightly off clear due to the infusion of agave “breast,” adding to its unique character and allure. This mezcal is not just a drink; it is a celebration of tradition and artistry, embodying the essence of its origins.
