It is on this remarkable plot that we found the oldest traces of the Chardonnay grape variety in Beaune. A real rarity in this stronghold of Pinot Noir! Before bearing the appellation Clos Saint-Landry, this vineyard appeared under the name Tiélandry, designating the domain of a certain Landry. This vineyard was then the property of the Abbey of Maizières, to finally be bought in its entirety by Antoine Philibert Joseph Bouchard in 1791. Since then, the Maison Bouchard Père & Fils has treasured the monopoly of this Premier Cru blanc of 1, 98 hectares.
