About the Winery 

Beykush Winery is a family-owned winery located in the Black Sea region of Ukraine, specifically in the village of Chornomorka in the Mykolaiv region. Established in 2012, the winery is situated on the Beykush peninsula, surrounded by the Berezan estuary and Beykush Bay. This unique location provides a favorable climate for viticulture, with natural drainage from the red clay and loam soil and wind reducing the risk of fungal diseases.

Vineyards and Varieties

Beykush Winery cultivates 11 hectares of vineyards, growing both local and international grape varieties. These include:

• White Varieties: Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Rkatsiteli, Telti-Kuruk, Alvarinho, Timorasso, Chenin Blanc.
• Red Varieties: Pinot Noir, Merlot, Saperavi, Cabernet Sauvignon, Tempranillo, Malbec, Pinotage.

Wine Production

The winery is known for its innovative approach, producing unconventional blends and experimenting with rare varieties. Their flagship wines include Artania White, a blend of several white grapes, and Rkatsiteli Amphora, which is macerated in clay amphoras.

 Beykush wines have gained recognition, winning awards such as a gold medal at the Decanter World Wine Awards in 2022.

Challenges and Resilience

Despite the challenges posed by the Russian invasion in 2022, Beykush Winery has continued to produce high-quality wines. The team has shown remarkable resilience, working under difficult conditions and maintaining their commitment to excellence.
