History
Berlucchi Franciacorta Brut Rose '61 was crafted with Chardonnay grapes at 40% and Pinot Noir at 60% coming from different towns in the Franciacorta area. Part of the cultivation is taken care of by the Berlucchi specialists, ensuring the highest quality fruit is used. There is a soft pressing of the grapes with the fractioning of the musts, allowing for the finest flavors to emerge. The alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, and the full maturation of the cuvee occurs in the following spring. Finally, it is bottled with the liqueur de tirage for 24 grams per liter of sugars and selected yeasts. The aging on yeasts for 24 months is followed by an additional two months after disgorging, which enhances its complexity and richness.
