Ben Holladay Rickhouse Proof Soft Red Wheat is a Missouri Straight Bourbon distilled and aged in Weston, Missouri, using bourbon drawn from the historic Holladay Rickhouses and bottled at true barrel strength. Crafted from a mashbill of 73% corn, 15% soft red wheat, and 12% malted barley, this release was aged over six years in new charred oak and bottled at 119.9 proof, capturing the whiskey exactly as it matured in the barrel.
On the nose, it opens with warm caramel, honey, vanilla, and toasted grain, followed by notes of baked apple, cinnamon, and light oak spice.
