Belle Glos Clark & Telephone Pinot Noir 2023 comes from the cool, fog-laced Santa Maria Valley, just miles from the Pacific where coastal breezes shape slow, even ripening. Planted in 1972 on own-rooted Martini clone vines, this west-facing vineyard delivers depth and intensity while preserving freshness. Early morning harvesting and gentle handling allow the vineyard character to stay front and center, followed by aging in French oak for added structure and polish.
The palate opens with ripe black cherry, wild strawberry, and raspberry preserves, layered with hints of cola, baking spice, and subtle vanilla from oak aging. Silky tannins and a lush, velvety mouthfeel lead into a long, warming finish with touches of mocha and dried herbs.
