Bedrock Wine Co. Old Vine Zinfandel 2022 750ml

One late spring afternoon, my best friend texted me to go join him on a side quest that was a milestone accomplishment. I decided to enhance the experience by taking him to dinner at Bourbon Steak afterwards. There, he asked me to order him a wine to pair with his New York Strip Steak. I selected Bedrock Wine Co. Old Vine Zinfandel. This wine blends grapes from some of Northern California's best vineyards. He was skeptical because he lived in Lodi, and preferred Zinfandels specifically from that area. After one sip, he was obsessed, and was bluntly reminded to never doubt my skills ever again.

This wine is complex in all the right ways! This wine is a blend of 76% Zinfandel, 11% Carignan, 5% Petite Sirah, 4% Grenache and 3% Cinsault, with the remainder being assorted mixed varieties such as Mourvèdre, Negrette and more. This medium-bodied wine has fresh acids that lift up the dark raspberry through layers of peppercorns and light baking spices, with a rich finish that glides across the palate. Open it and chill it while enjoying appetizers; it will be ready for the main course.
