Ayala Champagne Brut Majeur Rose was founded in 1860 by Edmond de Ayala, making it one of the most historic houses in Champagne. As one of the 18 founding members of the “Grandes Marques de Champagne” syndicate established in 1882, Ayala experienced a golden age during the 1920s and 1930s, rising to prominence as one of the largest ten houses in the region. Known more recently as “the sleeping beauty of Champagne,” the house began its re-ascent to fame following its acquisition by the Bollinger group in 2005.
