A single cask release of Auchroisk, a Speyside distillery whose malt is more often found in blends. This is a great chance to taste Auchroisk in its own right. Distilled on the 19th January 2015, this whisky was initially matured in a hogshead before finishing for over two years in an ex-Manzanilla cask.
That Manzanilla influence shows through in flavours of apple, almonds and oak driven sweetness. The label's own tasting notes point to panettone, cinnamon bark and honeycomb.
Bottled on 20th January 2026 at 57.9% abv, non-chill filtered and free of added colouring, this is cask #801525 from the Rare Cask series, with just 299 bottles released.
