THE MOST PRESTIGIOUS DENOMINATION OF ORIGIN: D.O.P. PAGO DE ARÍNZANO – Arínzano was the first winery in Northern Spain and the seventh in Spain to obtain this prestigious denomination. “Vino de Pago” appellation is the highest category in Spain. It is only awarded to wineries that comprehensively demonstrate an excellent and unique climate, terroir, and winemaking philosophy, which crystallize into extraordinary wines. It takes 10 years to obtain the denomination, after going through Spanish and European approval. There are only 24 wineries classified as Vinos de Pago in Spain.

MADE UNDER ORGANIC FARMING PRACTICES - this wine shows the full potential of Merlot grown naturally without alterations in the vineyard or in the winery. Aged 14 months in French oak barrels, 50% new and 50% second use. A wine of unique character. Complex and balanced, excellent storage capacity and velvety tannin.

COLOR - intense deep cherry red.

AROMA - fine and subtle. A true reflection of the varietal marked by black fruit, cherry, sloe and medlar. Spicy and undergrowth nuances, such as nutmeg, fern and mint.

PALATE - round attack. Balanced palate with velvety tannins and well-integrated wood. Elegant, long finish with a complex aftertaste in which mineral nuances and oak’s noble character stand out. Great aging potential in bottle.
