2019 Robert Sarrau Cotes du Rhone Blanc Vieilles Vignes is a luscious, full-bodied white blend from France’s bountiful Rhône Valley. Light yellow with glimmers of green in the glass, this dry white wine offers enticing peach and floral aromas. The palate is plump yet lively, with flavorful notes of pear, citrus, and green fruits carrying through to a lingering finish. Six grape varieties come together, led by Grenache Blanc (85%), joined by Viognier (10%), and Bourboulenc, Marsanne, Roussanne, and Clairette rounding out the blend. Grapes were grown in calcareous-clay soils in the Côtes du Rhône appellation, a sun-drenched region with rich winemaking history. While Côtes du Rhône blends are typically red and Grenache-driven, this white blend lets the variety’s cousin grape shine. 2019 Robert Sarrau Côtes du Rhône Blanc Vieilles Vignes is presented by J.M.
