1/4" Anti-Vacuum (Siphon) Valve

Also called a siphon, boiler air vent or vacuum breaker valve, this fitting lets air escape the boiler as water heats, hissing and then sealing shut once operating pressure builds.

SPECIFICATIONS

• Male thread OD: 1/2" (1/4" BSP)
• Low-lead content construction
• Recommended orientation: vertical, though it will function horizontally

INSTALLATION

DIY-friendly; drain boiler pressure before removing the old valve.

PRO TIPS

• Gaskets aren't always required - as the valve and boiler expand with heat, small leaks at the junction typically seal themselves. As a rule of thumb, if your old valve had a gasket, install a fresh one for added assurance.
• Measure the outside of your existing valve's male threads (should read about 1/2") before ordering to confirm fitment.
